The first 5 minutes of your day.

There has been a lot of health issues going on in the world at the moment that has brought in so much fear in our lives.  Look at the current situation of the corona virus. My question to you is how have you been reacting towards this situation? What is the first thing that you do when you wake up in the morning? Grab your phone and scroll through Facebook, Instagram, or twitter? Check your emails? Check your text messages?  Check the news? How do you start your day? The first five minutes of your mornings are significant. They can make a difference of your whole day. Whatever you wake up to can make you feel joyous, happy or stressed, anxious, worried like you are falling behind even before you step feet on the ground.

We are always reminded that joy comes in the morning. So in order to feel the joy you need to start the day with the right feet.

Here is my five minutes rituals before living my bedroom.

1: Prayer

We all know that you cannot pour from an empty cup. So it’s important that you fill your cup with something powerful, a word of prayer before anything else. Invite God in your day ask Him to lead as you go about doing life.

2: A word from the Holy book

Pick a verse from the bible and read it from your heart. The word of God is living and alive. It will encourage, inspire you to fight the doubts, the worries, the fears plus so many other things.

Here is my verse from the bible for today!

Although the fig tree shall not blossom, neither shall fruit be in the vines; the labour of the olive shall fail, and the fields shall yield no meat; the flock shall be cut off from the fold, and there shall be no herd in the stalls: Yet I will rejoice in the lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation. Habakkuk 3:17-18

3: Think about how you will apply the word you read from the bible.

Example: Today I will put my faith and trust in God and I will encourage someone. What else can you add here…?

4: Gratitude journal

Take a few minutes and write down at least five things you are grateful for in your life. There is so much to be grateful for. For the new day, for your health, for your bed, clean beddings, clean water, fresh air, you are able to breathe in and out freely grateful for your family….. What else can you add here?
