Dealling with uncertainity

Hey there its been a while since i posted something here and i just wanted to share something that might encourage you. I think when all is said and done we all can attest to it that 2020 has been somewhat special. I know what you are thinking! special? are you for real Fauza? Yes! i am for real. Here is why i choose to see my glass half full rather than half empty.   I have had a fair share of mine  and the scripture that kept me going is Phillippians 4:6-7 which says- Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your request to God. And the peace of God which transcends all understanding, will gurd your hearts and your minds in christ Jesus.
I find drawing  strength from your faith or source of spiritual strength helps.  It make you understand that you are not alone, that there is a higher power thats bigger than your problem, your anxiety, your fear extra… As a Christian, praying has helped me a great deal and reading my bible too. It’s interesting how  a story from the bibble suddenly makes a whole lot of sense to one when going through a challenging time.  I have also learned that being thankful helps. No matter how uncertain you may feel, the outcome of every situation is known to God. And God promises to never leave nor forasake those who draw close to him. In mathew 11:28-30 the scripture says – “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and i will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for i am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light” I want to encourage you that Gods chidren are never alone. And your future is held in His hands.
So, how do you deal with the uncertainity?
1: Keep your eye to the one who knows your future. When you find your mind in a battle, look at the situation around you and observe whats going on around you. If you can stay away from  Social media. Social media  is a platform where people generally live an exaggerated life or maybe not, but one thing is it sure will remind you further of all the things your life is not at the time which will further push you into anxiety and depression. If you cannot stay completely away, mute the people you think can trigger that feeling in you. It doesn’t mean however that they are bad people, it’s just that you are not in a good mental state to be fully accepting of what you see.

2: Allow  people that  you trust to come alongside you.  You are not alone. Its okay to ask for a prayer in the days when you are about to loose it.  The victories acheieved in our lowest meoments are rarely due to our own strenght. It is as a result of leaning on God and relying on others to support us. Gods faithfulness is what sees us throug the storm of life.

3: Be thankful and reflect of Gods promises. The  book of Psalms 107:1  tells us ”  Oh give thanks to the lord, for he is good, for his steadfast love endures forever”  The art of thanks giving is one that we need everyday no matter how we feel.
4: Change your thought perttern. The thoughts you fill your minds with are very crucial. What you think about you bring about. If you continously look into you current season and feel sorry it will only make the situation harder to deal with. If you choose to dwell on Gods promises, you will start to recognize Gods blessings even in your lowest moment.
5: Try to practice patience. There is a saying that goes by tough times never last but tough people do.  Thats why its important to fix your mind on what matters by centering your heart on what His word says.  You want to look back at some time later in life to see the tough times you outlived.  whatever you face in the weeks ahead, remember nothing you experience is uncertain to God. In deutronomy 31 the scrpiture reminds us that God will never leave us nor forsake us. Hold fast to His promises and trust that He is a a Good Father.
Know that you are not alone. xxx
